It is with deep sorrow and shock that I received the news of the sudden demise of Dr. Timothy Olawale, Director General of the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA). The late Dr. Olawale was well loved as a dear brother by many of us. He was an industrious, knowledgeable, and down to earth person who worked closely with the employer fraternity in Africa and beyond for many years. As a Council member of BUSINESSAfrica Employers' Confederation, he was one of the most dependable and supportive people in the leadership of the organization. Nigeria and the African Continent has lost a great, and inspirational leader who was poised to contribute immensely to our cause as employers. On behalf of the Federation of Kenya Employers, the Executive Council and the entire membership of BUSINESSAfrica Employers Confederation, I wish to convey our deepest condolences to his wife, children, relatives, friends, and colleagues. To the leadership, staff and members of the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, we relay our heartfelt condolences. We pray for comfort and fortitude for you all. As the African proverb says, “our dead are never dead to us until we forget them”. We will never forget Tim! MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD REST TIM’S SOUL IN ETERNAL PEACE! With deepest sympathies, Jacqueline Mugo, MBS, EBS, OGW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR|CEO, FEDERATION OF KENYA EMPLOYERS SECRETARY-GENERAL, BUSINESSAFRICA EMPLOYERS’ CONFEDERATION
